German automotive group Volkswagen points to the end of an era for its new models. With this news, which will especially upset users who like manual transmission, there may be a decrease in the number of users who purchased Golf R for the track. Here are the Volkswagen Golf R manual transmission decision and details…
Volkswagen Golf R will no longer have a manual transmission option!
When it comes to automobile culture in Europe and Turkey, one of the first brands that comes to mind is Volkswagen. The German brand has a large fan base in both regions. In this regard, special version cars such as Golf R and GTI are purchased for use on the tracks.
For this reason, many users want to choose a manual transmission when purchasing fast hatchback cars such as the Golf R. In this way, modifications to the car’s engine and transmission can be made more easily, and there is no fear of the DSG transmission, which has endless problems despite being very fast.
However, we can say that Volkswagen has made things a little worse with the decision it made for the last generation Golf R. As a result of its statement to Motor1 , the brand stated that there will no longer be Golf R and Golf GTI models with manual transmission options. Although this issue is sad for the Golf R, we should also point out that there is still a manual option in stock Golf models.
